AD resigns in aftermath of soccer forfeits

The Bangor (Maine) Daily News is reporting that the athletic director at Greenville (Greenville, Maine) resigned after taking responsibility for an administrative error that led to the boys’ soccer team forfeiting five matches. A state finalist last year, Greenville’s record now drops from 7-1 to 2-6 after reporting the use of an ineligible player.

Michigan lands Class of 2014 prospect

Tristan Jacob, a Class of 2014 forward prospect from Ann Arbor, Mich., verbally committed to the University of Michigan, he confirmed Tuesday.
