Stony Brook lands Florida prospect

Jorge Torres, a Class of 2013 midfielder prospect from Miami, Fla., confirmed to ESR that he has committed to Stony Brook.

The native of Argentina plays for the Kendall SC Under-17/18 squad in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, where he has started three of the team’s four matches this season. Last season, he scored four goals while making 23 starts in 26 appearances for Kendall’s under-15/16 squad.

Torres attends Miami Sunset (Miami, Fla.).

He joins a Stony Brook recruiting class that includes Jeffrey Medina of New York and Rodrigo Uriarte of Arizona.
