Report: Towson may drop men’s soccer

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Towson is recommending dropping its men’s soccer and baseball programs as part of an athletic department reorganization. Two weeks ago, the University of Richmond announced it would be cutting its men’s soccer program. The loss of these two NCAA Division I programs is a definite blow to the sport, not to mention the potential scattering of upwards of 50 players to other programs.
