Vardar player selects Oakland University

Vittorio Sbrocca, a Class of 2013 midfielder prospect from Michigan, verbally committed to Oakland University, he confirmed to ESR on Tuesday.

Sbrocca has started 10 of his 14 appearances with the Under-17/18 Vardar SC Freiburg Development Academy squad this season. Last season, he started 21 of 25 contests as Vardar placed second in the Under-17/18 division.

He attends De La Salle (Warren, Mich.), where he earned third-team all-state honors as a junior in 2011.

Sbrocca joins an Oakland University recruiting class that includes: Conor Bright, Kyle Szirovecz and Matt Wilson of Michigan, Matt Almester of Ohio, Alain Sargeant of Canada, and transfer Amara Soumah of Colorado.
