Oakland adds transfer keeper

Sean Lewis, who was an All-MAC selection while playing keeper for Western Michigan University this past season, is transferring to Oakland University, ESR learned Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound junior from Rockford, Mich., had an 0.92 goals against average in 2012 while posting an 11-5-2 record. During his three seasons at WMU, he played in 45 matches.

ESR learned that Lewis will enroll at Oakland University in January and will compete for the starting keeper position for the fall of 2013.

Lewis joins an Oakland University recruiting class that includes Matt Almester of Ohio, Conor Bright, Vittorio Sbrocca, Kyle Szirovecz and Matt Wilson of Michigan, Alain Sargeant of Canada and fellow transfer Amara Soumah of Colorado.
