SIU-E picks up high-scoring forward

Drew Merideth, a Class of 2013 forward from East Moline, Ill., confirmed to ESR on Friday morning that he has committed to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Merideth was named the Dispatch/Argus Player of the Year following the fall 2012 season, scoring 29 goals for United Township (East Moline, Ill.). He helped United Township to its first sectional title in 13 years.

He joins an SIU-E recruiting class that includes Kyle Dal Santo and Joel Duncan of Illinois, Jason Hackett and Austin Ledbetter of Missouri, Devyn Jambga of Zimbabwe, Andrew Kendall-Moullin of Goergia and Joel Teston and Mitchell Williams of Virginia
