Oakland lands transfer from Michigan

Matt Rickard, who formerly played at the University of Michigan, is transfering to Oakland University for the summer session with plans to play in the fall, ESR learned Wednesday.

Rickard is a forward from Devonshire, England. He appeared in 19 matches for Michigan in 2011, starting in 12. He scored one goal and had two assists. He did not return to Michigan for the 2012 season.

Rickard joins an Oakland University recruiting class that includes Matt Almester of Ohio, Amara Soumah of Colorado, Alain Sargeant of Canada and Conor Bright, Sean Lewis, Vittorio Scbrocca, Kyle Szirovecz and Matt Wilson of Michigan.
