High Point picks up Maryland midfielder

Jonathan Ware, a Class of 2013 midfielder prospect from Maryland, has verbally committed to High Point, ESR learned Tuesday night.

Ware plays club soccer for AC Bethesda, which has no fewer than 13 NCAA Division I signees on the current under-18 squad.

Ware played high school soccer at national power DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), where he earned second-team all-county honors from the Prince George’s Gazette.

Ware joins a High Point recruiting class that includes Matthew Gweh, Zabarle Kollie, Zane Laughery, Ryan Massey, Sonny Mukungu, Antonio Murillo, Doluwamu Oyewole, Chris Ramsell, Brandon Sloan and Yosef Teffera
