DC United Academy keeper heading to England

The Washington Post is reporting today that DC United Under-16 Academy keeper Arie Ammann has accepted a two-year academy scholarship with Watford in England. Ammann, the son of former MLS keeper Mike Ammann, recently completed the school year at Woodgrove (Purcellville, Va.), and could head to England as soon as mid-July.

AP reports Chivas USA youth player killed in accident

Julio Chavez, a 19-year-old member of the Chivas USA Under-17/18 Development Academy squad, died in a car accident Monday night, in his hometown of Modesto, Calif., The Associated Press has reported.
